Other Details to Note

A few things that make this mountain home special: No checkout tasks - just make sure the fireplace is off and doors and windows are closed. Please add any pet(s) staying at the property to your reservation so cleaners can prep accordingly. Smoke-free property - no smoking or vaping indoors or outdoors. See house rules for details. The drive up Chalet Village is a real mountain road - steep switchbacks and serious elevation gain. First-timers find it adventurous; by trip two, you'll drive it like a local. Sedans, minivans, and SUVs all make it. And every guest says the same thing once they arrive: "I've never been this high or seen a view like this." AWD recommended in icy or snowy conditions - salt trucks clear the road quickly since Ober ski resort is up here. The cabin's three levels connect via a charming spiral staircase - it's part of the cabin's character. The king loft is the crown jewel - a full open-air third floor with the most dramatic views in the cabin. Floor-to-ceiling glass means the sunrise wakes you naturally (no blackout curtains on this level - embrace it). Twin bunks share the space, making it perfect for a family of four. The two queen suites on the lower level each have their own bathroom and full privacy. Black bears call this mountain home - you may spot them from the deck! Decor and furnishings may vary slightly from photos as items are refreshed over time.

Our family of four really enjoyed Amy’s place. The house is GORGEOUS, with absolutely insane views like everybody else mentioned. It was spotless when we arrived, and upon checkout Amy even insisted we do no chores; just turn off the lights, and lock up the doors. That was really appreciated! We spent most of our vacation just chilling in the house; between the provided games, hot tub, exciting views, wildlife sightings (bears right outside of the window!) and the novelty of the interesting structure of the house itself, our kids (5 and 7) were entertained the entire 4 days and hardly turned the TV on the whole time. It was a perfect getaway for our city family. We hope to be back, highly recommend!

Wonderful stay with amazing views! As mentioned, the drive up and down the mountain were scary and a confident driver is a must. The house was just as described. A few bears put on a show one morning.

We only stayed for a short weekend, but so enjoyed the cabin views! We played pool, the kids soaked in the hot tub, enjoyed the fire place. The views are truly stunning, and all the little touches were so nice - fully stocked coffee bar, Native products at sinks and in showers, towels for the hot tub, tons of games - they truly thought of everything. And did I mention the views? Thank you so much, we saw a side of Gatlinburg we didn’t know existed!
